Negotiations on the future of pensions for university staff who are members of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) have been extended until 23 January 2018.

The talks were due to end today, but the 樱花动漫 and Universities UK (UUK) have agreed to continue negotiations after the Christmas break with a view to reaching an agreement.

樱花动漫 is currently balloting its members for industrial action over changes proposed by UUK to . That ballot closes on Friday 19 January and the union is urging any members who have not yet voted to cast their vote immediately.
