Protect Education Now: national rally on Saturday 10 May

Post-16 education in crisis. It is our duty to bring together the whole of 樱花动漫's membership to fight back against cuts, attacks in the media, financial mismanagement, and the erosion of professional pride.

On Saturday 10 May 2025, 樱花动漫 called a rally in central London for 樱花动漫 members and supporters to come together.

Higher education, further education, prison education, adult and community education--united.

樱花动漫 members and branches from across the country marched from Bessborough Gardens to Old Palace Yard, opposite the Houses of Parliament in London. Guest speakers included John McDonnell MP, Mariela Kohon (TUC), Amira Campbell (NUS) and Andrea Bradley (EIS); there were also plenty of members from our sister education unions, students, supporters and activists.

Thank you to everyone who came to the rally; we are building a big coalition to fight for change in Post-16 education.
